Summit Education Mission

Summit Education Mission

We believe in the power of mentorship and the importance of role models.

We believe in the power of mentorship and the importance of role models.

We believe in the power of mentorship and the importance of role models.

Every member of the Summit Education team can point to a mentor who shaped their direction and aspirations. Our mission at Summit Education is to provide students with that same access to guidance, opportunity, and purpose at a formative stage of life.

The Summit STEM Fellowship (SSF) was our first program and grew out of the guidance and resources our team of more than fifty mentors once wished they had in high school. Through SSF, students learn from accomplished peer role models who offer practical advice and a clear vision of what they can achieve in the next five to ten years. Students explore diverse STEM fields, discover their interests, and clarify future pathways while building leadership skills and learning to apply STEM to real-world impact.

As SSF grew, countless alumni shared that mentors inspired them to pursue research. Still, they often felt unsure how to begin meaningful projects as high school students. These conversations are what inspired Summit Research Scholars (SRS), our flagship research program.

The mission of SRS is to make high-level research accessible to motivated high school students. Through the program, students learn to use research to solve real problems and develop the critical thinking and inquiry skills needed to make meaningful contributions in their communities. Our team has seen how early research experiences can open doors to life-changing opportunities, and we are committed to providing students with the mentorship and structure needed to pursue ambitious projects.

Together, SSF and SRS reflect our mission to show students that they can achieve incredible things, work on meaningful projects, and create real impact even while in high school. Our mentors and 1000+ alumni from 60+ different countries have launched global nonprofits, conducted research at leading universities, and created change across diverse fields at a young age. At Summit Education, we strive to ensure that every student, regardless of background or starting point, feels supported to dream boldly and equipped to turn their aspirations into reality.
