This fellowship has been an enlightening experience, composed of new friendships, guidance from mentors, and daily challenges. It encouraged me to believe in my ideas and explore new concepts. Every mentor introduced me to a different field of STEM and left me with valuable insight I can apply to my life. During this fellowship, we’re exposed to a range of opportunities available for high school students and taught never to limit ourselves. I was able to connect with fellows from around the world and learn about their passions and cultures. I am truly grateful for this opportunity that has broadened my perspective and brought me closer to my goals of becoming an aerospace engineer and astrophysicist. I part from this program with the knowledge of how to maximize my high school years, a notebook full of insights, and the courage to innovate and pursue my ideas in STEM!

The Summit Research Scholars Program (SRS) has been amazing! I definitely learned a great deal about essential research practices, programming skills, data science, and visualizations, among other things. I definitely feel more prepared to apply these skills to high school research opportunities & real-world contexts. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for the next step in their research journey!

The Summit STEM Fellowship was a truly rewarding experience in so many ways. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to listen to exclusive talks from mentors at several prestigious universities. Through engaging Fireside Chats, Career Panels, and Ideathons, I gained not only knowledge and skills in STEM but also practical tools for leadership, time management, and future planning. All of the mentors I met, many of whom are accomplished young professionals, provided invaluable guidance—offering personal feedback, answering questions, and encouraging students to pursue bold ideas and passion projects. With so many students from different grades and countries around the world, I was also able to learn from my peers and build really meaningful connections.

For high school students interested in a career in STEM, a strong understanding of how to conduct research is a must. Luckily for us, the team at Summit STEM Fellowship has brought another amazing opportunity. Summit Research Scholars (SRS) is an extraordinary program and an invaluable experience to anyone hoping to pursue research in high school and beyond. I entered this program knowing I wanted to conduct research within the wide field of astrobiology but was unsure of the specifics. I am leaving the program with a thoroughly completed research capstone, helpful Python skills, an understanding of research methodologies, and a stronger ability to interpret research papers. Thank you to SRS for giving me the knowledge to further my passion in STEM!

If there was a prize for making learning STEM interactive, fun, and tailored in such a way as to leave you with the skill set and tools to tackle any future endeavor you wish to take — the fellowship will definitely take the cup. It was so inspiring to hear about some of the projects that our mentors and peers have started and completed, and the fellowship equipped me with the right mindset, knowledge, and support to turn my ideas into reality. Since the fellowship, I got the courage to participate in my first ever IT Showcase where I was able to attain first place with my chess opening learner program, I was able to apply for various scholarships by applying the tips and skills we were taught, and I was able to reach out to the radio using the cold emailing techniques! I could go on forever about the value that the fellowship brought and continues to bring into my life; I am truly grateful to be a part of this fruitful community.

I thought SRS was a great program that gave many opportunities to learn more about how to develop, execute, and write a research paper. During SRS, I was given numerous opportunities to learn about both the techniques and information needed to build a research paper. In addition, throughout the whole program I had the support of numerous mentors that were more than willing to give helpful feedback on my project. All in all, the SRS program was a great program, that I would recommend to anyone interested in research and STEM!

At the beginning of the fellowship, there were so many accomplished people that I didn't believe I belonged, but after the first Fireside Chat, it pushed me to start my own initiative, The Young Leaders of Tomorrow, a podcast about how to succeed from a young person's perspective. The fellowship has not only inspired me, but also helped me start and promote my projects. The assignments are incredibly useful even now, and the instructors' feedback still resonates with me, I'm amazed at how efficient they all are. The community is so helpful and friendly that, eventually, rather than feeling intimidated, I felt supported and made many friends. It doesn't matter where you are now, because this program will help you to your best. Overall, the fellowship was nothing short of outstanding, and I'm grateful I got to attend.

I think the SRS program was a truly unique and enriching experience, and I am extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of it. From the beginning, the staff provided exceptional guidance during both the lectures and the Capstone project, offering thoughtful, patient mentorship and detailed feedback that made complex concepts feel manageable. Although the workload was intensive, it helped me understand research in a far more meaningful way than simply being told about it, as the program was highly interactive and encouraged active engagement with the research process. Through this experience, I was able to discover my personal interests and connect them to my experiences. For my Capstone project, I researched how the abundance of gut bacteria influences the severity and frequency of eczema in infants, a topic that is personal to me since I have had eczema from a very young age. The staff supported me throughout this process while also encouraging independence and critical thinking, and they introduced us to valuable resources and opportunities, such as science and technology fairs and research competitions, that are not always discussed at school. Overall, SRS greatly strengthened my research skills, built my confidence, and left me feeling more prepared and motivated for future research endeavors and academic challenges.

The fellowship literally exceeded my every expectation and it was one of the best experiences of my whole life.

I feel like I've learnt more this month than during all my school years. My favorite parts of the fellowship were getting to know all these amazing, inspiring mentors and having the opportunity to connect with them and also networking with like-minded girls who are ready to change the world. I loved the whole experience and even though at first I thought I'd miss some of the optional events, I just couldn't. In fact, I couldn't wait to get to listen to the speakers and even though I am in a different time zone, I wasn't able to go to sleep knowing another wonderful session is going on. I really loved the fact that every Fireside Chat had deliverables we could do, and every mentor was so inspiring, I genuinely have filled a whole notebook with notes from their talks. Isabella's and Jiwoo's were my favorite!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Cannot emphasize enough sorry!

SRS was one of the most meaningful academic experiences I’ve had. The program gave me hands-on exposure to the research process, from shaping questions and reviewing literature to thinking carefully about methodology and impact. I was also introduced to the basics of coding and data science, including working with tools like pandas, which helped me understand how data can be analyzed and applied in research. Beyond technical skills, SRS helped me become more confident as a researcher and clearer about how my interests fit into larger academic and real-world conversations. The structure of the program made research feel approachable rather than overwhelming, and the community created an environment where asking questions and learning from others was encouraged. I would strongly recommend SRS to any student interested in exploring research in a supportive, well-organized setting

Being part of the Summit STEM Fellowship was one of the most valuable experiences of my high school journey. I really enjoyed the Fireside Chats and learning from mentors who shared their various journeys throughout high school and college; it gave me a perspective I couldn’t get anywhere else, and connecting with like-minded peers through Coffee Chats made the program even more meaningful. Through SSF, I discovered new opportunities, built skills in time management, and gained confidence in how to approach high school, college, and my future goals. What stood out most was the personal growth: I came away with a clearer sense of what I want to study and how to stay on track, and the guidance from mentors and Peer Ambassadors gave me insights I’ll carry forward into my future ventures and projects. Overall, SSF gave me the clarity, confidence, and inspiration I needed to keep pushing forward.

I attended the Summit STEM Fellowship in July 2025. It was an amazing experience and provided me so much information about a range of STEM fields delivered by professionals. The mentors were engaging and kept me motivated throughout the whole program. Every session was so engaging and I felt so supported that I changed study habits and enjoyed the early morning and late nights. This program created an amazing community I felt supported by and I am still in touch with them through the alumni community. Overall, it was a great experience I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to pursue a career in STEM.

The Summit Research Scholars was an amazing program that was extremely informative. We learned about various topics from writing scientific research documents to programming skills. The Discussion Sessions were excellent. In addition, the Office Hours were an amazing networking opportunity that offered me the assistance I needed. I loved how the program was very interactive.  If you put in the effort, this program will give you so much in return!

The fellowship completely changed my perspective on the strength of community in moments where young people who are so incredibly passionate about the same things come together to grow. Even though this fellowship was entirely online, I found a special sense of connection to each guest speaker, each post on Ed Discussion threads, and each cute avatar I saw in trivia nights or game & networking sessions. I think the most unique thing about the fellowship was that it ripped the bandaid off and taught me about the reality of how hard you have to work in competitive industries, but even more powerfully, inspired me to keep working hard until my dreams become reality. Even more inspiring was the fact that I could tell that everyone I met during the fellowship was absolutely meant to be there; I clicked with them instantly, sharing their career aspirations and strong work ethic. Fun fact: I'm still in touch with my first Coffee Chat partner on Instagram! Overall, the lessons that the fellowship taught me will probably stick with me forever as I build my career.

This program was such a significant experience for me, as I learned so many wonderful things during the span of it. In addition to learning how to develop solid research foundations, build a proposal, and communicate my findings to others in the field, I also became familiar with using Python applications to analyze data. However, the best part of this bootcamp was the amazing communities of SRS peers and mentors, all of whom answered any questions and were not in the least bit hesitant to aid me in my research. Discussions with one another during Office Hours provided me with valuable insights, as well as opportunities to find like-minded students with whom I could collaborate. Overall, I found this program to be full of resources, lessons, and skills that can help anyone on their high school journey!

Being part of the Summit STEM Fellowship was one of the highlights of the year. I entered the program curious and enthusiastic and emerged from it more confident, inspired, and motivated than I ever was. What I appreciated the most was how the fellowship opened doors to amazing mentors who were not only knowledgeable but also very genuine in sharing their experiences. The Fireside Chats and Career Panels opened my eyes to all the new opportunities in STEM and made me understand that there are numerous ways to accomplish my goals.

I honestly had some of the best weeks of my life. Although it was rigorous, the amount of new material I learned and the skills I gained have broadened my research capabilities far more than I ever could have imagined. The mentors were all kind and hardworking, giving us daily lectures that were so well put together and genuinely interesting. The overall community at SRS was beyond amazing and has inspired me to go even deeper into my research interests. I left feeling more motivated and genuinely excited to keep pushing myself in this field.

My time at the Summit STEM Fellowship was an incredible journey. I had the privilege of meeting like-minded individuals who shared the same motivation and drive as I did. This community became a source of inspiration for me. Everyone was so kind and eager to connect, creating a truly unique experience. The events were always something I looked forward to because they fueled my passion. I accomplished many summer goals and gained valuable knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit my career and academic aspirations. Honestly, this is a pretty intensive program, aiming for you to complete a final research capstone in a limited amount of time. But, at the end of the day, that challenge is beneficial. Throughout the program, I gained loads of knowledge in terms of statistics and research that I know I will be able to implement in later research!

The Summit STEM Fellowship has been one of the most impactful experiences of my high school journey. What stood out to me most was not only the incredible mentors we had the chance to learn from, but also the community of students from across the world who shared the same drive and curiosity for STEM. The mentors really brought into perspective that you don’t have to be a “perfect” candidate—you just have to be one who’s excited about your work. Genuine passion and effort are what truly matter, and that shift in mindset completely changed how I now think about applications, opportunities, and even the projects I take on.

Inspired by the stories and advice shared by the mentors, I even began developing two new initiatives aimed at creating impact in my community—projects I had long been passionate about but never had the clarity or confidence to start. The Fellowship not only encouraged me to take those first steps but also gave me the tools and perspective to pursue them meaningfully.

Throughout the Fellowship, I was also able to gain exposure to diverse fields in STEM and practical guidance on how to start exploring each one. Attending all of the events gave me insights into both the academic and real-world sides of STEM, and I left each session inspired to push myself further. Most importantly, I built connections with peers who share similar goals, and I know those relationships will continue to encourage me long after the program.

Looking back, I can confidently say this Fellowship was a transformative experience that has reshaped how I see my future. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to any student who is passionate about STEM and looking for a supportive environment to learn, grow, and bring their ideas to life.

I was introduced to the Summit Research Scholars (SRS) thanks to my experience with the Summit STEM Fellowship. Throughout SRS, I gained vast knowledge, not only about research but my passions. I found the crash courses on LaTeX, Beamer, Python, and Figma especially helpful and applicable to my future projects. This program is definitely worthwhile, and the mentors and other fellows create such a special community.

The Fellowship was such a transformative experience for me. What I appreciated the most were the actionable deliverables and weekly reflections, which pushed me to not only learn but also apply what I was learning in real time. They helped me manage my time better and stay consistent, which has spilled over into other areas of my life.

The sessions were eye-opening, especially hearing directly from mentors who generously shared their journeys and practical advice, and the extremely supportive community made the entire journey even more enjoyable. Knowing that I wasn’t going through it alone, but alongside other motivated students, really encouraged me to push myself further.

Looking back, I can confidently say that the fellowship gave me clarity, discipline, focus, and a stronger sense of purpose in STEM. I came out of the program more confident in myself and more determined to pursue my goals with intentionality.

I couldn't have imagined a better way to spend my summer 2025 than with the Summit STEM Fellowship! The fellowship gave me an amazing opportunity to meet other students around my age who share my interests and passion for STEM. On top of that, I got to hear from a multitude of professionals in the STEM field, offering me valuable insight into many fields that I could be interested in. I was able to hear from many panels of professionals who walked me through a day in their lives, which was really interesting to see. Additionally, with the Coffee Chats set up by the fellowship, I was able to talk 1 on 1 with another student about our interests and get to know each other. I thought it was really cool how the fellowship takes your interests and pairs you up with someone with similar interests. Overall, the fellowship was one of the highlights of my summer, and I truly believe that this experience will stick with me forever!

SSF has been one of those rare experiences that changes how you see what's possible. I've had the chance to build my own initiative while truly understanding the STEM field, not just studying it, but actually working in it.

The mentors here are incredible, from someone working in the military to MNC executives to AI developers, all genuinely passionate and eager to share their wisdom. I never felt alone in this journey.

The fellow community is equally amazing. Everyone's committed to building something meaningful, and that energy is infectious. It's competitive to get in and demands effort, but the more you invest in SSF, the more it gives back.

Being part of the Summit STEM Fellowship has given me the chance to connect my curiosity in both the sciences and the humanities. I love exploring how the mind works, whether through life reflections or philosophy articles, and I enjoy finding creative ways to share those ideas through discussion with peers. The mentors in the fellowship have shown me that linking all of my interests is both possible and practical; I will definitely adopt this mindset in the future and study as many interesting fields as possible in college. Summit Research Scholars is an incredible opportunity to gain a solid foundation in STEM research. This program isn't like your typical lecture-heavy course; it manages to balance rigorous learning and workload with an amazing support system and community. During the program, I felt very connected with my peers and mentors. Each evening, there was a live discussion session as well as office hours, and they were incredibly helpful since any lingering questions I had from the day's lessons were answered there. I was able to meet so many new friends in office hours, and learn from the firsthand research experiences of the amazing mentors. After completing the program, I feel so much more confident in my ability to pursue research, especially since I came out of it with an in-depth outline and plan for the future. I'm so grateful to all of the mentors, staff, and fellow students for this incredible experience and for fostering such a supportive, long-lasting community!

Summit STEM Fellowship has been such an amazing experience for me both in and in the months out of the program. Whilst in the program, I got to hear and ask about experiences from mentors and fellows from around the world and get their advice in the fireside chats, office hours, coffee chats, and so much more. From the mentors, I learned so much about STEM subjects, including aerospace engineering and how to conduct research, but I also got to hear about life skills that'll help in high school and beyond - I still track how I spend my time (based on one of the fireside chat deliverables) and it is huge in helping me not procrastinate and plan out my day. I also met fellows that were in the same club as me, had the same career goals, had already done research before, and so much more - and I was able to learn so much from them as well. Outside of the programming, I really appreciate the community and opportunities that the fellowship has given me in the months following it - it's so cool to look through the posts of the alumni community and be able to be inspired by and help with what they're doing, and get helpful resources and opportunities to support me as I navigate high school. All in all, SSF is such a wonderful opportunity to find a support network and learn more about high school, STEM, and life, and I'm so grateful I was able to be a part of it!

Before Summit Research Scholars, I had research experience, but a lot of my understanding felt scattered. Summit Research Scholars changed that. The lectures were incredibly clear and structured, breaking down research concepts in a way that finally made everything click. Even with prior research programs and college-level coursework, I genuinely learned new things. Through the program, I developed my project on YouTube motivational videos, persuasion, and neuroscience. Summit Research Scholars helped me turn a broad interest into a focused, researchable question and gave me the tools and lectures on how to apply methodology and theory directly to my work. What stood out most was how strong the foundation was, this program genuinely explained the basics better than any other research program I’ve done (and I've done at least 3 so that really says something). By the end, I didn’t just have a proposal, I had clarity and confidence in how to move forward as a researcher. What really set the program apart, though, was the constant support. There were regular check-ins where I could ask questions, I never felt left behind. Knowing that mentors and staff were consistently checking in made it easier to stay motivated and confident in my work. SRS didn’t just teach me how to do research; it helped me think like a researcher.

SSF 2025 was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve ever had. It gave me the confidence to present my idea of building a new website and platform, something I was truly passionate about. The fireside chats and STEM shorts were my favorite part — they introduced me to incredible stories and ventures from experts across so many fields. I also discovered interdisciplinary STEM majors I had never thought about before. More than just learning, SSF helped me dream bigger and see endless possibilities for what I can create in the future.

The Summit Research Scholars program was an overall amazing and very educational experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the program, and was able to not only build the start of my research, but use it to further develop my work for AP Research and upcoming science fairs! Throughout the program, we were exposed to various aspects of research, with a focus on building strong foundations necessary for the actual data collection to happen. The research lectures were ultimately extremely helpful in creating a detailed research question with an adequate scope and novelty. The technical lectures were also highly interesting, providing a new perspective on data science despite the limited timeframe! Possibly more important is that transferrable and lasting skills are taught, especially about being proactive in looking for and creating your own opportunities. Highly recommend for any student even slightly interested in the fascinating realm of research!

This program has honestly been one of best things that happened to me lately. I didn't realize I would enjoy this program as much as I did! I loved learning from all of the mentors about their experiences, not only in STEM but also about other experiences that shaped their life. I was able to grow my skill set and look forward to applying everything I learned in high school and beyond! The mentors have done such great things for their communities, and their tips and life journeys helped me realize that it's okay not to know where exactly you want to be, and it's okay to fail. Most of all, I learned the importance of perseverance and going through every opportunity that life presents, no matter what I think the result may be. I think my favorite events were the optional events. The ideathons definitely pushed the limits of my creativity and productivity, but it was so rewarding to see my hard work pay off. The science trivia was so fun, and I was able to communicate and connect with so many other like-minded people! Besides this, being around the other fellows inspired me to start brainstorming and taking more initiative into volunteering and starting my own business/non-profit. It was amazing to see all of the motivated fellows who were starting their own initiatives. Overall, this program has been truly life-changing and I'm so glad I decided to apply!

This program was amazing! I feel like I've learned so much from this program. Every single lecture topic was amazing, and the mentors did a great job of explaining each concept thoroughly. At any moments during the program that I felt stuck, there was a perfect support system available to help. As someone who had extremely limited knowledge of both research fundamentals and programming, I'm walking away from the program with an ignited passion and a desire to learn more. The program was rigorous, but 100% worthwhile. I really liked the way we were able to communicate with both the mentors and the other participants in the program, which was also one of my favorite parts about the structure of the previous program (Summit STEM Fellowship). I would definitely recommend this program to any fellow student who wants to learn more about research and programming, or simply wants to see if either is something they are interested in pursuing further. It was such a great opportunity, and I'm very grateful to have gotten this experience.

Being in SSF was absolutely fantastic, and I wish I had participated earlier in my high school career. The lessons provided were so enlightening to how students can make real impact, as well as so many ways that these inspiring mentors had gone about achieving greatness. It was honestly the most empowered I've felt in all of high school, and I'm so happy to have taken part in the program. It also opened my eyes to so many fields of STEM that I had never considered before, and gave me loads of insight about high school, university, and beyond. I couldn't recommend the Fellowship enough, and hope that every aspiring leader in STEM gets a chance to take part in it.

At the conclusion of the Summit Research Scholars program, I realized that it was one of the most productive times I have probably ever had. From technical tutorials on data science tools to amazing research guidance that kick-started my research journey, everything I learned is going to stick with me for the rest of my education. The final capstone project pushed me to pursue something I had wanted to do for a long time, and now I have a clear vision of how to execute it. Really enjoyed meeting the mentors and hearing their experiences!
